Charlene Montee

Charlene Brown Montee, 90, of Grandview, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, in Cleburne. She was born October 25, 1932 in Dayton, Texas to Harry Charles and Kimmie Myers Brown. Charlene had a love for horses and loved grooming dogs. She worked for Dr. Harlin at Countryside Animal Hospital for 24 years. Charlene was an accomplished Cowgirl. She rode in many grand entries and parades. Charlene was an excellent seamstress. She was a Rodeo Queen and showed horses for many years. Charlene traveled the world with her husband, Matthew Montee during the Korean conflict and WWII.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimmie Cavataio and husband, Greg; and brother, Norman Dale Brown.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents.
