Cathy Jo Crawford, a beloved educator and cherished member of her community, passed away on May 2, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on February 18, 1958, in Borger, Texas, Cathy lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and an enduring passion for the things she loved.

Cathy’s life was full of rich experiences and heartfelt connections. A devoted public school and collegiate educator for over 30 years, she touched countless lives with her kindness, wisdom, and commitment to learning. Beyond her professional achievements, Cathy found great joy in gardening and nurturing flowers, activities that reflected her deep appreciation for nature and kind spirit. She was also passionate about antiquing, traveling with friends, and cherished her beloved cats, whom she fondly referred to as her babies. These pursuits brought her joy and companionship throughout her years.

Cathy is preceded in death by her parents, James and Lois Crawford.

Survivors include her sister, Carla Jean Crawford; brothers, Jimmy Don Crawford and Jeff Crawford & wife Kim; nephews, Nicholas James Crawford and Nolan Jacob Crawford; and aunts, Mona Spaanem and Ellen Baylon.

Her life was a testament to the strength of love, dedication, and the joy found in both small moments and lifelong endeavors. Cathy Jo Crawford’s memory will be treasured by family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her.
