A funeral service for Carolyn Ann Pipes Hopkins, 85, of Granbury, will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday April 13, 2026 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033 with Pastor Mike Mizell officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne with Dennis McKinzie, Brianna Rush, Jordan Thomas, Dominique Burciaga, Izaiah Burciaga and Zander Rush serving as pallbearers. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 4:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home Sunday April 12, 2026.

Carolyn Ann Pipes Hopkins passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, in Granbury, Texas. Born on July 3, 1940, in Fort Worth, Texas, Carolyn lived a life deeply rooted in love, family, and a passion for nature.

A proud graduate of Cleburne High School, class of 1959, Carolyn carried with her a strong sense of community and dedication that shaped much of her life. She was well-known for her exceptional gardening skills, a passion she nurtured with great pride and care. Even at the age of 85, her green thumb remained vibrant, symbolizing her enduring spirit and love for the outdoors.

Carolyn’s devotion to her family was the cornerstone of her existence. She adored her family, embracing her role as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with grace and affection. Her warmth and caring nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her, embodying the true essence of familial love.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ross Elbert Pipes and Dorothy Elizabeth (Kingcaid) Pipes; daughter Deborah Bursiaga and brother-in-law, Jewell Ray “JR” McKinzie. Survivors include her daughter Elizabeth Clayton and partner Rebecca Wheeler; grandchildren Misty Holmes, Brianna Rush and husband Jordan Thomas, Jacob Clayton, Dominique Burciaga; great-grandchildren, Izaiah Burciaga, Lena Bryan, Zander Rush, Presley Cudworth, Everlee Burciaga, and Brynlee Thomas; brother William “Bill” Pipes and wife Renee; sister Kathryn McKinzie, and best friend Jackie Woods.

Carolyn Ann Pipes Hopkins’ legacy is one of unwavering love, quiet strength, and a profound connection with the world around her. Her life will be remembered with respect and admiration by all who were fortunate to know her.
