Carolyn Ann (Ledbetter) Ballard, 78, of Cleburne, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024, in Cleburne. She was born July 17, 1945 in Cleburne to Virgil Benjamin and Marie Agnes (Prine) Ledbetter.
Carolyn married Eldon Ballard on November 11, 1976 in Glen Rose, Texas. She worked for Walls Manufacturing and her and her husband owned and operated Ballard Motors and B & M Brake Shop. Carolyn was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 50. She loved collecting beanie babies and baseball cards, scratching lottery tickets and going to WinStar. Carolyn enjoyed camping at Steele Creek and listening to her favorite band, Santa Fe Station. She loved fishing, especially for catfish. Carolyn was a member of the Wednesday Morning Housewives Bowling League for 22 years. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her children, Kim Smith and husband, Robbie, Penny Gibson and husband, Buddy, Brandi Hopkins and husband, David, and Doug Ballard; grandchildren, Cari Tanner, Kason Mears, Kacie Jo Farrington, Trevor Albright, Payton Hopkins, and Regan McDaniel; great-grandchildren, Everly Tanner, and Hadlee Farrington.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband in 2021; parents; sister, Cleta; and brother, Jerry.
