A funeral service for Bruce P. Baskett, 78, of Godley, will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, August 25, 2025 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 1:00 P.M., Monday, August 25, 2025 in the chapel.

Bruce P. Baskett, a cherished member of the community, was born on July 10, 1947, in Cleburne, Texas, and passed away on August 19, 2025, in Godley, Texas. He lived a full and vibrant life, marked by his dedication to family, friends, and his passions.

Bruce was a hardworking individual who devoted over 25 years of his career to Lockheed Martin, where he earned the respect of his colleagues for his work ethic and commitment. After his retirement, he started working for his daughter and son-in-law where he developed new friendships. Outside of his professional life, Bruce was well-known as a social butterfly; he never met a stranger. He had an infectious spirit that brought joy to many.

An avid sports enthusiast, Bruce was a superfan of the Godley Wildcats, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Rangers. His enthusiasm for these teams was matched only by his love for friendly competition, particularly in the game of dominoes. Those who knew him often recall the lively games and the laughter that accompanied them.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Charlotte (Polson) Baskett; brother, Dwight Baskett; and daughter, Natalie Baskett

Bruce is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlene Baskett; children, Shauna Tanley, Angie Logozzo and husband, Vincent, Karen Bass; sister, Teresa Garman and husband, Ron; sister-in-law, Glenda Moore; grandchildren, Chloe Tanley, Brandy Timmons and wife, Katie, Paeton Tanley, Shay Bass, Cade Timmons and wife, Amanda, Riley Tanley; great-grandchildren, Cooper Timmons and Tucker Timmons and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Above all, Bruce was a loving husband and father, placing great importance on God and his family. He cherished the time spent with loved ones, and his unwavering support and nurturing nature left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to be part of his life. Bruce's legacy is one of hard work, devotion to family, and a zest for life that will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
