Brian Victor Volney, a beloved family man, passed away surrounded by family, on December 3, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on February 2, 1954, in Williston, North Dakota, and throughout his life, he embodied the spirit of creativity and warmth that endeared him to many.
Brian was a multifaceted individual whose passions included fishing and boating, art, and activities that brought him immense joy and tranquility. Known for his good sense of humor and gentle giant demeanor, he had an uncanny ability to brighten any room with his infectious laughter and playful spirit. A true tinkerer by nature, Brian enjoyed building and inventing. His love for animals was evident, as he shared his home with his beloved dogs, Biscuit and Pepper, who were cherished companions throughout his life.
In his professional life, Brian was known for his dedication as a truck driver in the oil field industry and retired from Yellow/Roadway in Fort Worth. His work ethic and commitment to his job were commendable, having garnered the respect of his colleagues and the industry alike. He received a “2 million mile” award for no accidents. Throughout his life, he was also recognized as a prankster, always knowing the right moment to "apply pressure" for a laugh or a friendly jab, leaving behind memories filled with joy.
His family was a cornerstone of his existence. Brian was a devoted husband to his wife, Tresa Volney, with whom he shared 48 years of life filled with love and companionship. Brian took immense pleasure in being a "Papa".
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Ardyce Volney, and brothers, Greg Volney and Bruce Volney.
He is survived by his wife, Tresa Volney, his children, Jessica Scott and her husband Jake, and Trinity Drury and her husband John; grandchildren, Paige Jones, Makayla Petersen, Tieg Scott, Abella Scott, Alexis Acosta Judy, and Blayke Drury; great-grandchildren, Isabella Supriano and Lane Hammon; sister-in-law, Rebecca Volney, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Brian Victor Volney leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories and a legacy of love that will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.
