Bonnie Sue (Crabtree) Young, 78, of Cleburne passed away on April 19, 2025. Born on July 22, 1946, in Colorado City, Texas, Bonnie was a remarkable woman whose intelligence and warmth touched the lives of many around her.

Those who knew Bonnie fondly remember her as a brilliant and extremely intelligent individual. She possessed a sharp mind and a boundless curiosity for the world, always finding contentment in the things she found interesting. A loving and nurturing mother, she instilled strong values and a sense of wonder in her daughter, Deborah Hensley, who was a source of pride and joy for Bonnie throughout her life.

Bonnie cherished the companionship of her beloved dog, Max, who was always by her side. Their bond exemplified her nurturing spirit and love for all living creatures.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Francis Young, often referring to their relationship as a "perfect pair." Their partnership embodied love and mutual respect, which had a lasting impact on everyone who was fortunate enough to witness it. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Crabtree and Midge Collier; brother, Robert "Buddy" Crabtree, and sister Natalie Shurtleff.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Hensley. 

Bonnie Sue Young will be remembered not just for her intellectual prowess, but more importantly, for the love she offered those around her, the nurturer she was to her loved ones, and the contentment she found in life's simple pleasures. She will be greatly missed.
