Bobby Covington

Bobby Covington will be privately interred at Rosehill Cemetery.

Bobby Doyle Covington, 82, a beloved musician and cherished member of the Cleburne community, passed away on August 28, 2025.

Born on May 6, 1943, in Cleburne, Texas, Bobby's lifetime was marked by his passion for music and his innate talent for playing the guitar. His love for melodies resonated with friends and family alike, making him a cherished presence at gatherings and celebrations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Doyle and Emma Sue Bean Covington; brother Jerry Covington, his sisters Lynn Gonzer, Teresa Gonzer, and Brenda Cooper.

Bobby is survived by his brother, Meredith Covington; cousin, Harold Yale; sister, Jean Ligon and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Together, they will carry forward the legacy of his vibrant spirit.

Bobby will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
