Beverly Rice

A funeral service for Beverly Irene (Hoover) Rice, 88, of Cleburne will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033, with Pastor Tom Tomforde officiating. Interment will take place in Kemp Cemetery at a later date.

Beverly Rice, formally of Denison, Texas, a cherished member of her family and community, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2026, in Cleburne, Texas. Born on July 11, 1937, in Texas, Beverly's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with artistry, humor, and love.

Beverly was known for her artistic spirit; she found joy in baking, painting, and designing exquisite floral arrangements. Her creativity knew no bounds, much like her sense of humor, which brought warmth and laughter to everyone around her. She touched the lives of many with her vibrant personality and nurturing nature.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Donal and Opal Hoover; her daughter, Cynthia Labutka; and her first husband, Jessie Walson.

Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Dale Rice; children: Kenneth Walson, Brian Rice, Jennifer Fournier, Rosie Tomforde, and Adriana Mello; her grandchildren, Dustin Walson and wife Elita, Jessica Labutka, and Jacob Labutka; and her great-grandchildren, Sofie Walson and Jessie Puckett.

Beverly Rice will forever be remembered for her love, creativity, and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
