Ben Garcia, Sr.

Service for Ben Garcia, Sr., will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 1, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne with Reverend Charles Payne and Reverend Brooks Monk officiating. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., January 31, 2024 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Santwan Traylor, Kevin James, Kameron Robinson, Matthew Garcia, Maegan Robinson, Nicholas Lares, Hannah Garcia, and David Hernandez. Erica James serving as Honorary pallbearer.  Burial will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 2, 2024, in Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.

Ben passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, in Cleburne. He was born July 4, 1939 in Bastrop County, Texas to Frank and Senona Rodriguez Garcia. Ben married Angelita Guzman in 1967 in Dallas. He was a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church. Ben liked country and Tejano music. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era, from 1964-1968. Ben was a loving father, grandfather, and a great provider for his family. He took great pride working as a Master Plumber. Ben will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by his children, Frank Garcia and wife, Yuleidia, Angelee Casas and husband, Manuel, Linda Lares and husband, Hector, Ben Garcia, II, and wife Ayana; stepchildren, Erica Garcia, Carla Garcia, Fernando Garcia, and Juan Garcia; sisters, Francis Alvarez, Mary Hernandez, and Sandy Broussard; grandchildren, Edward, Hannah, Matthew, Michelle, Samantha, Sarah, Maegan, Erica, Santwan, Eric, Nicholas, Stephanie, Nichole, Emily, Bella, Allen, Ariana, Aliyah, Alivya, Ivan, Aaron, Israel, Ethan, Celeste, Cristian, Penelope, Marwon, Jeremiah, and Jezelle; great-grandchildren, Malvina, Felipe, Jr., Madelyn, Kayden, Alyssa, Kevin, Jr., Aidrian, Romeo, Mylo, Nova, Dallas, Swayze, Rita, Mia, Kairo, Camilla, Celeste, Chariah, and Royalty.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Senona; wife, Angelita; son, Ben Garcia; grandchildren, Rita, and Ava; and brother, Joe Garcia.
