Barbara Kaye Collins passed away on July 1, 2026, in her hometown of Cleburne, Texas. She was born on November 21, 1957. Barbara’s life was an enduring testament to kindness, loyalty, and sincere generosity—a gentle and steadfast presence in the community she so dearly loved.

Barbara’s warm and cheerful spirit made a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her vibrant personality shone with an amazing sense of humor and a ready smile. She was always cheerful and bright-spirited, able to bring light even to the cloudiest days. Friends and loved ones often remember how her laughter could fill a room and how her feisty, endearing nature made her well-liked by people from all walks of life.

Barbara’s daily joys were as heartfelt as her outlook on the world. She cherished the little things in life like always having an ice-cold Coke in hand, a simple comfort that fueled the joy in her heart. She also delighted in singing, sharing her love of music with those around her and lifting spirits with her bright voice and enthusiasm. Barbara also had a special place in her heart for cats, as an avid cat lover.

Always hardworking and deeply devoted to those she loved, Barbara was known for her willingness to help others and cheer them on through life’s accomplishments and trials. As a loving and devoted mother, she poured endless care, encouragement, and support into her family, creating a legacy of belonging and continuity that endures in the hearts of all who knew her.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Marie Threadgill.

Survivors include her sons, Wes Threadgill and Michael Threadgill; grandson, Jack Threadgill; numerous friends and the extraordinary caregivers at Heritage Trails Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
