Barbara Alldredge, a dedicated school nurse and cherished member of her community, passed away on February 12, 2026, in Alvarado, Texas. Born on January 31, 1951, in Wayne County, North Carolina, Barbara lived a life filled with purpose, grace, and creativity.
Barbara had a passion for caring for others, which she demonstrated throughout her career as a school nurse. Her commitment to her students and their well-being left a lasting impression on those who had the privilege to work alongside her and to be under her care. Barbara was known for being always "put together" and very proper, a reflection of her disciplined nature and artistic flair. She was extremely talented, pursuing hobbies such as sewing, oil painting, crochet, and cooking, where she often sought to express her creativity and love for the finer things in life.
Throughout her life, Barbara enjoyed exploring the world, traveling the country by RV with her husband, and embarking on cruises to discover new horizons. Her sense of adventure was matched only by her meticulous nature, as she immersed herself in experiences that enriched her life and the lives of those around her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Adelaid Richardson; her husband, Robert Alldredge; and her sister Linda Zandi.
She is survived by her children; Brian Tidwell and his wife Marie; Jeremy Tidwell and wife, Shanna, and Jason Alldredge and his wife Blanca; her grandchildren, Kelcie Alldredge, Trevor Alldredge, Oliver Tidwell and Addison Tidwell; her niece, Leila Thornburg; her “bonus” family, Leslie Perez and her children Yuli and Anthony, Lilly Perez, Jaimie Perez and his wife Eveny, Rene Perez and Jacob Perez; and her beloved dogs, Peaches and Lola.
A woman of grace, art, and unwavering commitment to her family and profession, Barbara Alldredge will be deeply missed. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, as she leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories woven with love, adventure, and artistry.
