A graveside service for Arlene Rae Wiist, 94, of Fort Worth, will be held at 11:00 AM on Sunday, on September 7, 2025, at Keene Memorial Park located at 301 Pioneer Drive, Keene, Texas 76059 with Pastor Larry Schneider officiating. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Arlene R. Wiist, born on December 30, 1930, in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, in Burleson, Texas. A cherished member of her community and a loving matriarch, Arlene leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unyielding devotion to her family and faith.

Throughout her life, Arlene was deeply involved in her church, where she not only attended but also dedicated her time to teaching children, fostering their growth and spirituality. Her passion for sewing made her a talented seamstress, crafting cherished items for her loved ones. As a dedicated homemaker, Arlene invested her creativity and energy into DIY home projects, creating a warm and inviting space for her family. Her infectious laughter and easy-going nature brought joy to those around her, making her a beloved figure in both her family and community.

Arlene's commitment to helping others did not stop within the walls of her home. She actively participated in prison ministries, exemplifying her caring spirit and desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Wiist; her son, Michael Wiist; and her sister, Gayle Johnson.

Arlene is survived by her daughters, Linda Knutson and her husband Deryl, and Debbie Speyer; her daughter-in-law, Veronique Wiist; her grandchildren, Kristin Kohley and her husband Isaac, Louis Speyer and his partner Alexandra, Catherine Jessel and her husband Josh, and Alexandra Wiist; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Kaitlyn, and Mason Kohley, and various nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Arlene R. Wiist was a remarkable woman whose spirit touched many lives. Her love for her family and her community will be profoundly missed, but her legacy will continue to resonate through the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
