A visitation to celebrate Ardelle Bailey Hopper’s life will be held at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home in Cleburne, Texas, on Monday, April 14, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Godley Methodist Church in Godley. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne.

Ardelle Bailey Hopper, born on May 1, 1929, in Keene, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, in Cleburne Texas. She was a remarkable woman whose life was characterized by her loving nature, creativity, and unwavering dedication to her family and community.

Ardelle was known for her extraordinary talent as an excellent seamstress, loved to quilt, and had a keen eye for fashion. She always presented herself with grace and style, embodying the very essence of being well put together. Her love for baking homemade bread was cherished by many, as she often shared her creations with friends and neighbors, reflecting her generous spirit. Ardelle's commitment to her church was profound; she spent countless hours volunteering and helping those in need, demonstrating her compassionate heart.

Family was everything to Ardelle; she was a loving wife and mother whose pride in her family was evident to all who knew her. She created lasting memories by taking her grandchildren on summer trips for over 12 years, enriching their lives and fostering closer bonds. The legacy she instilled in them emphasized the importance of family, faith, and friendship.

Ardelle is survived by her siblings, Janette Aymond, Linda and husband Rondell Fagan, and Jimmy and wife Kathy Bailey and sister-in-law, Rosalie Barnes. Her children, Beverly and husband Jack Karnes, and Sharon Johnson, her grandchildren, Shelly Willeford and husband Jeff, Amy Mathiesen and husband Andy, Matthew Barton and wife Sindy, and Brian Karnes, her numerous great-grandchildren: Jake Willeford, Luke Willeford, Hannah Mathiesen, Hayley Mathiesen, Megan Mathiesen, Michael Mathiesen, Macey Barton, Cohen Barton, Connor Barton, Mackenzie Barton, Sylar Karnes, Kexton Karnes, Tovah Smith, Yeira Smith, Leiza Smith, Zoe Smith, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Ardelle was predeceased by her parents, Truett Sr. and Leona Bailey, her beloved husband Billie Joe Hopper, siblings Gilbert Bailey, Truett Bailey Jr., Bill Aymond, Barbara Barnes and husband Jim Barnes, her son-in-law Richard Johnson, and her great-grandson Jevan Karnes.

Ardelle Bailey Hopper’s spirit and love for her family and friends will forever remain a cherished part of their lives. She leaves behind a legacy rich with love, kindness, and memories that will be treasured by all who knew her. "Legacy of Faith, Family and Friends.
