Anna Barone

A memorial service for Anna Liesa Harrell Barone, 63, of Fort Worth, will be at a later date.

Anna passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 in Watauga. She was born August 11, 1959 in Brady to Alfred Leon and Melba Louise (Bates) Harrell. She married Joseph Earl Barone on December 7, 2013 in Burleson. Anna was of the Christian faith. She worked as a medical assistant with Urgent Care for 10 years having retired in 2017. Anna radiated confidence, as she was a feisty and free-spirited woman. She enjoyed shopping and playing bingo. Anna loved spending time with her grandchildren and was very active in their daily lives. She was a talented baker, especially of cakes and brownies. Anna enjoyed motorcycle trips with her husband. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Liesa Ann Houk, Carolyn Sue Armstrong and Auntwan, “Billy” William Daniel Houk Jr., and Sara, and Jennifer Michelle Houk-Hodge and Charles; grandchildren, Zachary, Kelton, Caleb, Jude, Jaeden, Mia, Gabbie, Saibryn, Nevaeh’a, Chloe and Zoe; royal grandchildren; brother, Donald Harrell and Rhonda; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Glenn Harrell.
