Services for Alesa Lynette Chambers Davis, of Red Oak, will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Red Oak, and Pastor Fred Campbell will officiate. Interment will be at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday in Caddo Cemetery in Joshua. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 8 at the funeral home.

After a year of treatment following her diagnosis with leukemia, Alesa passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 2, 2013 in Dallas. She was born July 14, 1962 in Cleburne to Hollis and Anita Miller Chambers. Following her graduation from Joshua High School, she married Terry Davis on August 14, 1982. Alesa received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Texas Wesleyan University in 1983, and after completing her alternative teaching certification, she taught for 15 years at Red Oak ISD.

Alesa was a member of First Baptist Church in Red Oak prior to attending Grace Church of Ovilla since 2002 and was involved in a variety of ministries. She was also devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time together laughing over I Love Lucy episodes, playing games, traveling, taking camping trips, and supporting her children in their activities.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Terry Davis; daughter, Lauren Davis; son, Matthew Davis; mother, Anita Chambers; brothers, John Chambers and wife Cindy and Randy Chambers; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Hollis Chambers.
