A funeral service for Adela Hernandez Lumpkin, 68, of Cleburne will be held at _______ at Nolan River Road Baptist Church, 820 North Nolan River Road, Cleburne, TX 76033 with Pastor Mickey Pesqueda officiating. Interment will follow in Greenacres Memorial Park Cemetery, Cleburne, with John D. Gonzales III, Kyle Gramham, Jason Gramham, Jonathan Gonzales, John Perkins, serving as pallbearers and Lupe Chapa as honorary pallbearer. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on March 30, 2026, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, located at 512 N Ridgeway Drive, Cleburne, TX 76033.
Adela Hernandez Lumpkin, a beloved figure known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, in Cleburne, Texas. Born on June 24, 1959, in Uvalde, Texas, Adela’s life was a testament to joy, compassion, and spiritual growth.
Adela’s vibrant personality shone through in everything she did. She was very loving and outgoing, always striving to bring happiness to those around her. Adela’s zest for life was evident in her younger days when she enjoyed dancing in the city, embracing every moment with enthusiasm. Later in life, she experienced a profound spiritual awakening, finding her salvation with the Lord. This transformation deeply influenced her children as well, as she guided them toward their own faith journeys. She was a member of the Nolan River Road Baptist Church where her son was saved and baptized for his walk with the Lord. Adela’s devotion to her family was paramount.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan L. Hernandez and Manuela Bustamente Rodriguez; sisters Consuela Chapa and Cruzita Garcia; and her brother Richard Hernandez. Survivors include, her children, John D. Gonzales, Jr., Brandy Gramham and her partner, Jennifer Horky; her grandchildren, Kyle Gramham and his fiancé Jessica, Charity Zieglgansberger and her husband Mitchell, Hannah Gramham, John D. “Tre” Gonzales III, Kimberly Gramham, and Mikah Gonzales; her great-grandchildren, Adley Gramham, Emma Gramham, Elizabeth Gramham, and John Jay Zieglgansberger; her siblings Fernando Hernandez, Elogario Hernandez and his wife Hilda, Rose Hannon and her husband Jeff, and her nephew Lupe Chapa.
Adela Hernandez Lumpkin’s legacy of love, joy, and faith will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a remarkable woman whose spirit touched many, leaving behind a profound and lasting impact on her family and community.
