Obituary

Nancy Lee Wallis Calvin went to be with Jesus, our Lord and Savior on October 10, 2020 in Bedford, Texas after successfully surviving breast cancer for three years. It was discovered in the last two weeks that it had moved into her lungs. She never complained with either diagnosis and was a life-long non-smoker.

Nancy Calvin was born on September 28, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas and had just turned 80 years old less than two weeks before her death. She was very active in her community, still drove herself around and loved her church family at Saint Matthew United Methodist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. She loved baking cakes and cooking for community projects, her church and her family. She loves donating when she could and donated to favorite charity shops and other organizations in need. She loved going to antique shops and tearooms. She loved animals and had a special rescue kitty, Hyati, who adored her. She was the best mom, who loved her family like no other, and gave them the best life anyone could possibly give.

She is survived by her four daughters, Julie Maxwell and husband Tracy of Fort Worth, daughter Cindy Hourani and husband Tayseer and her grandsons, Hilal and Nabil Hourani of Bedford, her daughter Joanie Rezaee and her husband Nasser of Arlington and her daughter Mary Alcorn and her husband Keith and her grandson Nathan and granddaughter Nissa Alcorn of Grapevine. She is also survived by her brother Tommy Wallis of Godley, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Calvin.

A graveside service for Nancy Calvin will be conducted on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Godley Cemetery in Godley, Texas at 2:00pm.

Visitation will be in Cleburne, Texas at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 12:00-1:15pm.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Saint Matthew Methodist Church, 2414 Hitson Lane, Fort Worth, TX 76112.
