Service for Glenn Edward Tucker, 72, of Godley, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 24, 2020 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in the Godley Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the funeral home.

Glenn Edward Tucker passed away Friday, September 18, 2020 in Cleburne. He was born July 24, 1948 in Batesburg, South Carolina to Lenard Dayton and Margaret Emma (Hutto) Tucker.

Tucker was a big man with a big heart. He wanted to help people, some, who most would not give a second glance. He provided opportunities of work for those who needed it. He would give anyone a chance to succeed.

His “Glory Days” were not the ones spent playing football at North Texas or when he played for the Washington Redskins. His “Glory Days”, were spent out in the country watching his cows. He lived to be a rancher. His dream was to build his herd back up. Just last week, we were talking about “next spring...”. He was always looking ahead and always positive, even when his situation wasn’t.

What can you say about a man who touched so many lives? He said last week that when he died, that he hoped that people would have nice things to say about him. I don’t know if he really knew the full impact that he had on this area and the people in it.

Pop, we will miss you and your big hugs. We love you. Rest In Peace

Glenn is survived by his daughter, Joelle Bolt and husband Tracy of Mineral Wells; son, Chad Tucker and wife Elline of Flower Mound; grandchildren, Brent, Blake, Brandon and Benjamin Bolt and Brady Tucker; great-grandchildren, Asher and Tucker; brother, Dayton Tucker of Batesburg, South Carolina and Jim Tucker of Haltom City.

I am sorry for your loss. Glenn was such a nice man. He would stop by our place and visit with us while he was down checking on his cows. We also looked forward to his visits. He and my husband were both into cows so they always enjoyed talking to each other.

I sure am going to miss seeing him come to 4M for his parts. He was a regular and we always loved helping him. I would always joke around about "acting like he needed parts" just to see us. He would just laugh and usually always had a come back of some sort. He was one of my favorite customers. I always had a joke for him when he walked through the door. He will be dearly missed by many.

I want everyone to know, Glenn did have a huge ❤️. I was down on my luck and he found me a place to live and sold me a vehicle ! He is the most grateful man I have ever seen. He was very generous and never complained. He helped others like me and I seen him in action for anyone that needed him. God will meet him and say “Well done”. Rest In Peace my friend ❤️❤️❤️
