I remember Darren the most as a child, when I would come visit! We always had fun riding bikes, playing board games, going to the local country store and getting candy. I also remember how much he loved his uncle Paul, my father, and would come hang out to see him. Although I didn’t get to spend much time with him as an adult as we all grow up and have families of our own, I will always have fond memories of him and I loved him! Rest easy my cousin! Until we meet again! Love 💕 Chelle

I remember when Darren, myself, Billy and a couple of our cousins were up to no good. We decided it would be a great idea to play war with BB guns inside out great grand parents barn. Me and Darren got on different sides and went at it. Darren was a good shot because he shot me several times. But you know that old saying “It’s all fun until someone looses an eye”. Well Darren didn’t loose an eye. He got shot in the eyelid.
We got lucky that day because Billy’s sister was a nurse. She come along and used a magnet to roll the BB out of his eyelid. I’m glad he wasn’t seriously hurt that day. We learned it wasn’t a good idea to play war with BB’s.
